This place is under new ownership and they seem to be lacking in integrity (and common business sense). When I checked in I made it known that we (my hunting partner and I) had dogs that would not be in the room and ask for and received a quote accordingly. When I checked out I was shocked to find my quoted room rate of $80.00 a night based on a 6 day stay jumped to $95.00 per night due to a ‘dog fee’ just for having dogs on the premise (kenneled in my truck). Their argument was so lame I won’t even repeat it. I’ve stayed here with no issues in the past but I won’t be staying here again.
I stayed at the Riverside Motel and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were spotless and the front desk clerk was very polite and welcoming. I too find it hard to believe that they would get any bad reviews. I have stayed 3 times and every time have had a good experience. Thank you so much.
Terrible. I'm writing this for my husband, who was there for work. One of the guys on the work crew took off with daughter of the owner. Booze and meth! The rooms didn't get cleaned or even fresh towels for 6 days.(probably because their daughter and said dude came back to clean rooms.) All 3 rooms received a nasty note about how they were now considered monthly quests and responsible for their own coffee, hand soap, trash and would no longer be getting house keeping. So after 6 days you are considered a monthly guest which also means the longer you pay them the worse their service gets. Plus, pretty classy about their daughter. I wasn't going to write this until I saw that it was under new ownership and that they were jerks to other people. My husband expressed how trashy they were and then I noticed another similarity in the "I can't believe there's a bad review," review. Could it be some e who is very close to the owners...... on a side note these guys travel all over the state working and are always welcome back to the hotels. This one they will never use again.
Only one bathroom and shower, but they did give us a shelter and lawn chairs and grill to use!

We might stay in the city park next time but thanks for having us!
So, traveling and camping across country, I've stayed and tent-camped at many campgrounds and rv parks. My group agrees, this was one of the rough-er ones. One of my group said, "gnarly" and that is true. Campground hosts were very nice which made up for it a bit but rooms had no real air and cost more than the really nice place we just stayed up the road in Glasgow. Overpriced for what you get!

I have stayed at this motel many times and I am so surprised to find a bad review. I have had nothing but the best experiences when staying there. The couple who runs the motel are fantastic people who are always there to make sure you have everything you need. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. I have always had great customer service from the staff and I just can't believe that they would be rude to anyone. I know that the dump area there can sometimes overload when people come in with a full tank, because I was there when they were explaining that to another customer, however there is a public dump site about a block and a half away that can accommodate anyone's RV. I recommend anyone coming to Malta to stay at this motel and enjoy the fantastic customer service that is always guaranteed there.
